If I extract the drill file when I apply 4 layer, the drl file name has been assigned "-1-4" following the file name automatically
but I want to change the the suffix to -0-3. is it available to set?

Can I make trace fatten in Anti-Pad Area
Hi All
there is thin trace which is connected to Via or Thru-Pin which have Anti-pad area.
but the thin trace should be fatten when it enters on Anti-pad Area like below.
Can I control the thinkness of trace in Anti-pad area?
of course if I lay the shape it would be done, but there are so many via or thru-pin should be applied like this.
so I need the function to fatten trace automatically
I want to make all trace like below automatically when they get in the anti-pad area.
below one is that I made manually with cut the single Cline segment
(without Taper/Tear drop)

Step model shown too big in Allegro 3d canvas
Hi
In 3D Canvas window, Step model of one of the connectors used in PCB is shown too big as compared to the rest of the PCB as shown here:
However, when i Export>MCAD the step file of complete PCB, the size of the connector looks correct.

Allegro NC Drill and NC Route Integer.decimal format not exported in Gerber
Hello,
In Allegro 17.2 2016, how do I force the INTEGER.DECIMAL format commands into the .drl and .rou exported outputs?
Let me explain in more detail.
When I export gerber files for copper, solder mask and etc, I see in the files the Gerber FS command which give the X and Y Integer.Decimal format. See
For the NC drill and NC route, I put in the NC parameters a check in the Enhanced Excellon format with leading zero suppression. See picture. Is the leading zero suppression bad?
When I export the files and look in the .drl and .rou, I do not see the format anywhere. When I import into a free viewer such as Viewmate, it makes a guess. I see the NC route scaled 10x too large.

Via array not connecting to net.
I am routing one shape on a top plane to a shape on an internal plane. The internal plane provides a specific voltage which is carried up to this top shape for a few SMDs.
When routing to the top, I used a via array and assigned the vias to the net I wanted. The vias all connect to both of the shapes. They all share the same net. Despite this, the pads are still listed as unrouted and show a rat to the nearest via not placed by an array that is on the same net.
I racked my brain over this and came back later deciding to try placing the vias again, but this time doing it manually. When placed manually, they work. The connections are routed. No rats.
These manual vias share the same net. They're the exact same padstack. They're in the exact same positions. What am I missing here? Any insight would be of great value. Thank you.

Re: Allegro 3D canvas - 3D PDF Export - Layout

I am using 17.4-2019 S018 [5/16/2021] Windows SPB 64-bit Edition
I have generated 3D PDF from Allegro 3D Canvas, In the model tree (left side of the PDF) Symbol Properties shows footprint name and reference designator.
Is there any setting needs to be changed so only refence designator will display, screenshot is attached for more clarity.

Snap to intersection using the function key, how to?
Hi,
I'm doing a bunch of shape edits and need to extend corners to 'construction line' intersections. Currently I edit the shape, select the vertex' and RMB 'Snap to Intersection'.
Is there a way to set that up with a function key (F2) so I can select the vertex ; hover over the intersection of lines ; and hit F2 to do the (RMB/Snap to Intersection) function?

Turning on/off etch selection by net/class/group
Is there a way to turn on/off etch selection by net/class/group in Allegro?
What I'm looking to do is to be able to select only the clines and vias of a specific class to make a subdrawing (route reuse). The buss is routed on several layes with vias along the way and I want to be able to window-select only that buss on all used layers.
In order to do that I need to make everything else unselectable. Using FIX or making the other etch the same color as the background doesn't work as it is still selectable when creating the subdrawing.
Using the search in the forum didn't turn up anything on this subject.

How to set a funckey to submenu item in Allegro / PCB designer ?
I am trying to set up a funckey in the env file to point to a submenu item.
I am trying to assign the "d" key to point to the "Setup>Areas>package Height" submenu item.
I did this in the env file : funckey d "Package Height" , but PCB designer can not find it.
How can i make a keyboard shortcut to a submenu item ?

Allegro interface options
I watch a lot of videos, and tutorials and the window interface is a dark color. The cursor creates a ripple effect when something is clicked on. Where are these settings?

Plated Mounting Hole covered by SolderMask
Hi
I have used 3 plated Mounting Holes in my PCB which are connected to Ground.
In 3d Canvas: Out of these 3 holes, one hole is getting covered by SolderMask on Top and Bottom Layer while the others are shown OK.
Same footprint is used on all 3 holes and i ran Check>Design Status> Update Shape to Smooth to see if it helps but it doesn't.
Same result when i export this Step File Out of 3D Canvas.

Allegro 3D model not rendering in correct location
Hello,
I'm using Allegro PCB Venture to design a board and have loaded an stp file of a Harting DIN41612 connector.
I can orient it correctly in the 3D viewer but when I reload the 3D view the offsets and rotations are correct but the part is in the wrong place and orientation, see pic.
I have tried several stps of the same connector from different sources (non-identical files via size info) and they all do it, to the same location.
I have made it work for other similar connectors.
Any ideas? I'm running 2021.1 (17.4-2019 S021 [9/12/2021])

Thermal pad connections trace width
Hello,
Is there a possibility to change the trace width of the thermal pads connections without changing it for all the traces in the layout ?
For example, I'd like the min trace width to be 0.1 mm but the thermal pads connections to be 0.2 mm. But when I put 0.1 mm as min trace width in the contraints manager, the thermal pads connections automatically switches to 0.1 mm.

outline enlargement
hello:
i am trying to enlarge the substrate size using the existing design file.
but i am getting an error saying "pick is outside the extent of the drawing."
can i make the substrate outline larger?
I have tried to change the x and y extents on the design parameter editor but it does not let me change it to a larger number.

Renumbering pins in symbol
Hello,
The order of the pins in the footprint (which I think I downloaded from digikey) isn't correct. It is a 40 pin connector, so I want the standard pin order (each two pin row has adjacent values). I've opened the .dra file in PCB Editor 17.4 and want to reorder the pins. However, the only way I can see to do it is Layout->Renumber Pins. I've played with all of the combinations of "Vertical Direction" and "Horizontal Direction", but I cannot get the ordering I need. Any tips? TIA

Multiple Orcad License on the same License server
Hello,
We have in our company multiple license of Orcad PCB associated with their FLEXID USB dongle. We would like to have all the usb dongle connected to a single Windows 10 server computer that would host the flexlm licensing server.
I have succesfully set up the server to host one license using the "License server configuration utility" and I am able to use the license on the client computer. However I don't know how to add to this configuration an another license.
Indeed, if I use "License server configuration utility", it overwrite the first license with the new one.
I have tried to use LMTOOLS to use a second service to start another server license without success. Indeed the second services can't start because of cdslmd already running. See below LMTOOLS debug log of the second service
Do you have any clue or procedure to help me ?
